In 2000, we are calling on God to provide more volunteers, some additional staff, and an increase in financial resources from $218,000 annually to around $240,000.  We are also looking for a larger facility where it would be easier to do regular training.  We are praying for two more families to join our committee.  And, several new projects will be started which we have never done. 
Our job is huge, so pray that our courage and our vision grows to the task.

On January 3rd, I was getting some groceries at the neighborhood store when I saw the front page of one of the sensational tabloids.  The headlines were predicting the incredible disasters that would occur at midnight on January 1, 2000.  The much dreaded January 1st has come and gone and none of the disasters happened.  Thanks to the careful planning and preparations of many people, things have pretty much continued with very little disturbances.
The local CEF committee has spent a good amount

of time planning out our ministries for the new year, and we hope that as a result of our work that we can have a productive year with a minimum of unexpected surprises and setbacks.
We have set target goals that increase our ministries in nearly every area, and we are trusting that God will bless us and enable to do things that we have not so far imagined could be done. 
"Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things that you do not know."  (Jer. 33:3)
